The aim of this book is to discuss the most important aspects of women’s status at the beginning of the twentieth century by drawing a parallel between Romanian and British feminism.The novelty of this book resides in the fact that it discusses the ideas of gender and politics in the novels of some of the most important Romanian modernist writers.
