There are several manuals on animal nutrition and feeding is written and published by many authors. But none other carries such comprehensive and applied information regarding feeding of large and small ruminants such as cattle, buffaloes, sheep and goat etc. The manual were strictly designed as per the Veterinary Council of India (Minimum Standards of Veterinary Education Degree course of BVSc & AH). In the new syllabus and the examination system this manual helps the students and teachers in covering Unit II and Unit III. Being a teacher of Animal Nutrition I have observed that ruminant nutrition is very vast and applied part but it is bit tricky. Therefore I prepared this manual to make the students and teachers an ease to understand this aspect of animal nutrition.
